The Dedicated Mother & Son Duo Behind Beach Cowboy Fitness
Cynthia Lett is, first and foremost, a mom. She’s also a proven entrepreneur.
When her son Cameron Lett, a multi-certified fitness coach, approached her about opening a studio specializing in gym classes for homeschooled and special needs kids, she rolled up her sleeves to do some research.
What she found was that the Charleston area needed a destination that offered structured physical education classes to supplement the curriculum for parents who homeschool their children. The special needs community was also grossly underserved with few safe fitness locations led by certified coaches who knew this population and how to teach them.
Based on her research, she knew that Cameron was onto something.
Parents for both these populations deserve to have a safe space for their children to attend gym, yoga and dance classes run by experienced fitness professionals.
Hence, Beach Cowboy Fitness was born!
So, where does the name come from?
Co-owner Cameron strongly identifies as a “beach cowboy,” like country superstar Kenny Chesney.
The cowboy philosophy of life includes living each day with courage, doing what you say you’re going to do, and never giving up.
As the beach is Cameron’s happy place combined with his love of the West with its horses and rodeos, it made perfect sense for them to combine his two passions into the name of their studio.
Plus, people say “Beach Cowboy Fitness” is a really easy and fun name to remember!
